China KYN28A-12(Z) Armored Removable AC Metal-Enclosed Switchgear - Reliable Suppliers & Factory for 3.6-12kV Solutions
Model and Definitions
Product Features
KYN28-12 armored removable AC metal-enclosed switchgear (hereinafter referred to as switch cabinet) is a new product developed by our company based on the absorption of advanced manufacturing technologies from both domestic and international sources. It can replace various older models of metal-enclosed switchgear, such as the KYN1-12 and JYN2-12 series. This product exhibits the following significant advantages:
- The cabinet's outer shell is entirely assembled with bolts, providing high mechanical strength. This effectively ensures the product's neatness and aesthetics. The cabinet door is coated with a spray plastic finish, offering strong impact resistance and corrosion protection. The outer shell has an IP4X level of protection (can be changed to iron plates based on customer requirements).
- This product can be equipped with the VD4 vacuum circuit breaker produced by ABB, as well as C3 series fixed load switches. It can also accommodate various domestic vacuum circuit breaker series (such as VS1, VH1, VK, ZN28) to replace similar foreign products.
- Regardless of the chosen circuit breaker, the air insulation distance of bare conductors can be guaranteed to exceed 125mm, while the composite insulation exceeds 60mm. The circuit breaker all possess unique advantages such as long service life, low maintenance, and compact size.
Normal Application Conditions
- Ambient air temperature: Upper limit +40℃, lower limit -10℃;
- Relative humidity: Daily average not exceeding 95%, monthly average not exceeding 90%;
- Altitude: Not exceeding 1000m;
- Earthquake intensity not exceeding 8 degrees;
- Locations free from fire, explosion hazards, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, and intense vibrations.
When application conditions exceed the above range, the user should consult with our company to determine the permissible range and technical measures.

Structural Characteristics of Switch Cabinet
The switchgear is designed according to the armored metal-enclosed switchgear standards in GB3906-91. The structural description of the switch cabinet is shown in Figure 1: The switch cabinet consists of two main parts: a fixed cabinet body and a removable component (referred to as the handcart). The outer shell of the cabinet and the partitions of various functional units are connected with bolts. The level of protection of the switch cabinet is IP4X, while the level of protection when the circuit breaker room door is open is IP2X. The switch cabinet can be equipped with a vacuum circuit breaker handcart or a fixed load switch. It features overhead incoming (outgoing) lines, cable outlets, and other functional options. The switch cabinet can be installed in a double cabinet arrangement, meaning it can be installed back-to-back or face-to-face in a double row configuration.
Installation of Switch Cabinet
- According to engineering requirements and as indicated on the drawings, transport the switch cabinet to a specific location. If a long row of switch cabinets is arranged (for example, more than 10 units), the assembly work should start from the middle section.
- Use specific transportation tools such as cranes or forklifts; the use of rollers or crowbars is strictly prohibited.
- Remove the circuit breaker handcart from the switch cabinet and store it properly in a different location.
- Loosen the fixing bolts in front of the busbar compartment and remove the vertical partition 9.
- Loosen the fixing bolts of the horizontal partition 19 below the circuit breaker compartment and remove the horizontal partition.
- Loosen and remove the base plate 16.
- Remove the cover plates 1 and 2 from the control cable trough on the left side of the switch cabinet. Simultaneously remove the cover plate from the right front control cable trough.
- Install the switch cabinets one by one on the foundation, ensuring alignment in both horizontal and vertical aspects; the unevenness of the switch cabinet installation should not exceed 2mm.
- Once the switch cabinet is fully assembled (spliced), it can be connected to the foundation channel steel using anchor bolts or welded securely to the foundation channel steel.
